ARTISTIC FEATS Hedwig Dances staged its New York City debut at Joyce SoHo with the world premiere of Jan Bartoszek’s Short Stories, inspired by Jim Harrison’s poem “Moving” and performed by Company Dancers Victor Alexander, Justin Deschamps, Maray Gutierrez and Kirsty Mackellar, to a captivating original score by composer Richard Woodbury. Guest choreographer Jan Erkert’s Wet Dreams also received its world premiere and the reprise of Jan Bartoszek’s Sleep of Reason (2005), After the Fall, Desire (1999), and, Long Trip (2002) by Maray Gutierrez were presented for the first time in NYC.
