ARTISTIC FEATS  “Dances for the Deep Field”, an evening of “enchanting choreography” (Chicago Reader), at The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago spotlighted the world premieres of Jan Bartoszek’s Falling Into the Sky with costumes by Ann Boyd, music by Matt Kozlowski and John Ridenour, text by poet Alice George, lighting by Ken Bowen and masks/puppets by Lynda White, and, Sheldon B. Smith’s Schubert Dances with costumes by Julie Hopkins and lighting by Ken Bowen.  The two-weekend run also featured the reprise of Conversation II (1995), a critically acclaimed choreographic collaboration by Hedwig Dances and Natyakalalayam Dance Company Founders/Artistic Directors Jan Bartoszek and Hema Rajagopalan.
