ARTISTIC FEATS  The company celebrated its 20th Anniversary with the world premiere of Jan Bartozek’s Sleep of Reason at the Athenaeum Theatre in Chicago. Moved by the work of 18th Century Spanish artist Francisco Goya, Hedwig Dances transformed his collection of etchings called “Los Caprichos” into three dimensional scenes where the ideas of mortality and power are played out with stunning passion and prowess. The dark and fantastic world of Sleep of Reason is made even more magical by unique masks created by Blair Thomas, co-founder of Redmoon Theater with flamboyant costumes by award-winning designer Tatjana Radisic.
