Jan Bartoszek, Hedwig Dances’ Founder and Artistic Director was honored with an Artist Residency at Ragdale, January 23 through February 10, 2023. She was housed in the latest addition to the Ragdale campus, the Sybil Shearer Studio, which was a recent gift of the Morrison Shearer Foundation. Bartoszek spent the time in creative thought and exploration of various visual and movement concepts which have been arising throughout her deep exploration and creation of her Bauhaus inspired works: Futura, LightPlay, and most recently META | MOR | PHOS – A Triadic Fiction. This most recent work is a co-production with the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation.
