Sophia Vangelatos graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 2021 with BFAs in Dance Performance and Dance Choreography and a BA in Business Economics. During her college career, Sophia trained with and performed works by Lar Lubovitch, Kate Skarpetowska, Loretta Livingston, Tong Wang, Lisa Naugle, and Charlotte Griffin. She has premiered her choreographic works in various shows and festivals in California and Italy. Since graduating, Sophia has had the honor of being a Parsons Dance Company virtual apprentice and a main company member for South Chicago Dance Theatre performing works by Kia S. Smith, Wade Schaaf, Ron de Jesús, and Stephanie Martinez. Sophia joined Hedwig Dances in 2023.
