Short Stories

Choreographed by Jan Bartoszek, and premiered in 2006 at the Joyce, SoHo Theater in New York City, Short Stories was inspired by Jim Harrison’s poem Moving. The piece creates an intimate landscape from the memories of four characters as their shared history of love and loss is slowly revealed through a series of short episodes. more

Earthly Tongues

Earthly Tongues, choreographed by Founder and Artistic Director Jan Bartoszek, mines the rich terrain of ancestry and memory. With hearty doses of humor and pungency, the dance examines what we know, what we don’t know and what we fantasize about our collective and individual origins. Earthly Tongues premiered in 2008 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts in Chicago. more
