Q – When did you know that you would spend your life as a professional dancer?
A - I dreamed of working with this company. I spend the first years of my professional career with them before moving to
Chicago with them before moving to Chicago.
Q – Why did you decide to move to the United States of America, specifically to Chicago?
A – I think the world of art is very wide and I was eager to discover new horizons, both artistically and personally. The
opportunity to move to the United States became a reality when I attended the American Dance Festival (ADF) in 2002.
Chicago was my first choice of places to live in the U.S.A. because I have family here. I am very thankful for their support.
Q – What makes the Chicago dance community different from other cities you have danced in during your
career?
A – I think that dance is different in each place. Dance is nurtured by the cultural roots of the people who live there. I think
each city or country in the dance community is very different. The community is nurtured by each person’s individual culture,
which allows them to create drawing from that world full of tradition, and their necessity to express it.
Q – What has kept you dancing with Hedwig Dances for the past 6 years?
A – Hedwig Dances was the first company I was introduced to in Chicago and, today it still supports me unconditionally which
makes me feel at home. Also the work that company creates expresses how I enjoy communicating as a dancer and artist.
Q – What are your plans for Hedwig Dances as its new Artistic Associate?
A – I want to move the company to another artistic level. I am looking to increase opportunities that expand the name
recognition and visibility of the company inside and out of the Chicago Dance Community.
Q – What is your favorite part of being a dancer?

REALMENTE CREER PARA PODERLO VIVIR.
A – What I most enjoy is being myself. I enjoy every second as if it were the last because this is how my experience grows. It’s
a personal mission which, as a pure and free form of expression, transcends the language of dance. It’s a magical road to
appreciate and to live it, you must believe it.
